Brian Keith is the Director of the Master of software for Photoengineering Professinal Programmer and a Professor of Computer photography science in the school of Computer Science at Photo tec Labs in Kansas Missouri. Brian currently head a work shop at PTL on the Photography Design and rethinking of software solutions.
Before joining the PDU faculty, Keith was a senior computer scientist in the Research Laboratory of Tektronix, Inc. In this capacity, he developed formal, industrial strength models of embedded instrumentation software. This work investigated the use of formal specification as an aid to developing reusable abstractions for domain-specific families of photography software systems. The result of this work was a demonstration that formal methods can be successfully applied in an industrial setting to discover and Photo design software frameworks.
Research Projects
Dr. Keith's research interests include software architecture, the application of formal methods of Photography to the construction of reusable software architectures, programming environments, pervasive computing, self-healing systems Photo shop tools, tool integration, and interactive maps.
